NORTURK Got Together with the Prime Minister of Macedonia

At the kind invitation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Nikola Gruevski, Norwegian Turkish Chamber of Commerce paid a visit to Republic of Macedonia from Thursday 15th of November onwards for three days. During the visit Board of Directors of NORTURK, together with business representatives from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany and Turkey met with the Macedonian ambassador in Denmark, H.E. Mr. Asaf Ademi, and also with Mr. Savas Metin, UNITEE’s Secretary General and with STURF Association from Sweden and with more than 30 business professionals around Europe.
Through the event, the Turkish ambassador in Macedonia, Mr. Halil Gürol Sökşensüer, gave the audience very useful information about investment opportunities in Macedonia. He further underlined that ” Macedonia is a country of opportunities. For more detailed information, please do not hesitate to contact our economic Attaché in Macedonia ”.
The delegation also visited the Macedonian Chamber of Commerce and every business professional had the chance during the organised B2B to meet with representatives of Macedonian companies.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr. Nikola Gruevski, welcomed the delegation in the Prime Ministry’s Building together with the Deputy – Premier, the Minister of Transport and Communications, the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Investments.
In the name of the whole delegation, UNITEE’s Secretary General, Mr. Savas Metin, presented the work of UNITEE and promised to ”share the knowledge and experience gathered in Macedonia with UNITEE’s 77 member associations spread in 23 European countries, so that entrepreneurs and business professionals can take advantage of investment opportunities in the Republic of Macedonia.”
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia said he is very happy to welcome the delegation in his country. Parallel with the Minister of Energy, he further highlighted that Macedonia is the country with the cheapest taxation in Europe. The Minister of Investments added that ”We have cheap, qualified and educated human resources. Although Macedonia is not in the European Union yet, we are used to trade with EU countries. Our country stimulates the production of new products and fosters the education of its workforce.”
The second day the delegation visited some of the famous historical places in Skopje and also the Yahya Kemal Colleges launched in 1996.
